Controllers Are Not Syncing Together
If your controllers are not syncing, follow these steps to identify and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Check Configuration Settings
Sync Button
- On all controllers that you want to sync, ensure the Sync button is selected (refer to the image below for guidance).
- The Master Controller can also have the Sync button selected.
Verify Sync Setup
- Go to the Sync Setup section on all controllers and confirm the required settings are correctly configured. (Refer to the second image for details.)
Step 2: Check Router Settings
For syncing to work, controllers must communicate over UDP Port 21324. If they aren’t syncing, the issue may be with your router.
Enable UDP
- Check that UDP communication is enabled on your router.
- If UDP is disabled, open Port 21324 manually using your router’s port forwarding settings. Consult your router’s documentation for instructions.
Disable Client/AP Isolation
- Some routers have advanced settings like Client Isolation or AP Isolation, which block devices from communicating with each other.
- Disable these settings to allow controllers to sync.
Step 3: Use Scheduling as a Backup Solution
If you’re unable to get the controllers to sync, you can set identical schedules for each controller as a workaround:
- Create schedules for the lights to turn on and switch presets at the same time.
- Ensure the schedules are identical on all controllers so the lights appear synced.
